The Love mug depicts the close relationship between Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll - the duo's adventures together always have a happy ending, even if they both sometimes fall for others. The illustrations of the Love Mug are inspired by several of Tove Jansson's comic strips, including Moomin and the Martians (1957), Moomin Valley Turns Jungle (1956), and Moomin Begins a New House (1956). The larger, 0.4 litre design of the Moomin mugs is, as usual, from Arabia's Teema series.
