Inspired by the comics strip story Moomin’s Winter Follies (1955), the Moomin family realises that winter is approaching and starts preparing for hibernation. Moominmamma and Moominpappa are hurrying towards the Moominhouse, carrying lots of dry hay. They need a lot of hay to sleep in and to fill their stomachs with spruce needles. Moominpappa realises that he doesn´t have to do the same thing as his ancestors.
